Refresh and Renew!

This winter marks the TENTH winter my family has spent in our home.

That means 10 winters of dirt, slush, salt, sand, and snow.

Every spring since I bought my home I have looked into ways to renew and refresh my flooring. While ultimately I know I need to tear out this decade+ old carpeting and replace it with wood, tile, and modern rugs, it never fails that something else comes up, occupying the funds I need to replace my flooring, and I end up with a band-aid solution like getting the carpets cleaned.

This year, as I look around at my carpeting, I make my annual commitment to reserve my tax returns for new flooring. I fill my head with hopes of flooring stores and estimates.
