Wordless Wednesday – Northern Minnesota Style

Have you ever heard the stories of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox? It is a popular tale in Minnesota Folklore.  Two Minnesota towns stake claim to the infamous man and his ox.  These pictures were taken on a rainy day in Bemidji, Minnesota.

Maine has a HUGE statue like that of, well, I think it's Paul, too. (OK, just searched, and it totally IS: http://www.acadiamagic.com/bangor-maine/paul-bunyan.html) :P

Stopping by from SITS and nosing around a bit. I just received a travel guide from Bemidji yesterday that I've been looking through as I attempt to plan a cross country road trip. Of course we have to see Paul and Blue- how could we resist?
