Keeping Minneapolis Warm

You may remember a while back, I mentioned wanting to coordinate a blogger coat drive

Sadly, the response was small and I decided that my idea would probably be best suited on a smaller scale.

Locally, I selected the Marie Sandvik Center as a shelter for coat donations.

With the help of Missy at The Marketing Mama, I attending a local Twitter meet up and was able to collect 16 coats, 14 sweatshirts, and 9 gloves, hats, and scarves.

While this is just the beginning of my collection efforts, I am so excited to be able to provide these items for those in need in the city of Minneapolis.

If you live in the Twin Cities area and have coats you would like to donate, please conatct me for information!

I am so happy to hear that something happened with this. You do have a giving heart and I wish we could have done more.

I was hoping to get together with you, but a friend died on Sunday and I'll be going to her Wake tomorrow. I can only afford to head to the cities once this week (I'm so poor!) so maybe next Thursday? Ugh, I'm sad that I have to put it off. Again I'll have 2 look at my schedule since it wasn't up when I was there on Tuesday.

It's admirable that you did not give up! It may be on a smaller scale, but you are still helping many people. awesome!
