I Bought Shape-Ups

As a bartender, I am on my feet a lot. In the last year or so, I have noticed that 8 hours of standing is a lot harder on my body than it used to be. I have tried shoe inserts and arch supports, but sadly, they are in constant need of replacement and buying them makes me feel like my grandma. So I'm vain, sue me.

Recently, a couple of the servers at work have gotten Shape-Ups. While they buy into the claims that the shoes will tone their legs and give them booties to rival J. Lo, I'm not so convinced. I have heard a lot of talk that the soles were super cushiony and that their feet weren't hurting nearly as much with these new-fangled kicks.

At $109.99 a pair, I thought the girls were cuh-razy! I mean honestly, who spend that much money on shoes you can only wear to work!?!?! (Yes, I have been known to drop that much on a pair of boots or heels, but work shoes?!? Hellz to the no!) But the talk kept on. And my feet were sore. Oh, my poor, poor achy feet.

And then I caved.

I came home from work on Saturday night, having worked a very short shift. All I wanted to do was soak my feet and have them massaged. They. Hurt. So. Badly.

On Monday, I headed over to the local shoe store. The Shape-Ups were front and center as I walked in. And they were on sale. $79.99! (I still choked a little.) I picked one up and couldn't help but to fondle the sole. They were so squishy. They were soft. And they were supportive. And heck, maybe, just maybe, they'd give me an arse like J. Lo's... (Just sayin')

I'll tell you flat out, I think the shoes are ugly as sin. Fortunately, I stand behind a bar and no one see my feet. And truthfully, if in the end, my poor little tootsies feel a bit better, I can sacrifice fashion. I'll let you know how it goes...

I've actually seen it work! This girl bought them and wore them for six weeks during her walks! She took pictures of her before and after ass!! There was definitely a difference!!! I couldn't believe it, so yeah I want a pair! Good luck!

I can't wait to hear how they work. I can't handle the price tag. I did buy a pair of the Tone Up flip flops by Sketcher. I don't think they work.

They are really squishy! I have the Run Tones from Reebok, but I'm not really seeing a better butt.

Darn.

I really wish they weren't so ugly! My sister is in retail and she wears them and swears by them. I don't know if it's done anything for her booty, but she says her feet don't hurt as bad!

I love my Shape ups! I have really bad knee and back problems and spend most days chasing down my two kids. My problems have been cut by probably 75% since I started using them. When I get to go back to work I am getting the shape up Mary Jane's which are cuter since I work in the salon industry and that means on the feet all day long. I hope yours help you. I remember what it was like waiting tables in uncomfortable shoes. It was hell. Good luck.

I just JUST read a scientific report that these don't work. Your body is forced to use different muscles to control your balance. Once your body gets used to the new balance your body acts as normal.
I really wouldnt mind trying them out but my back won't like the off balance. Let me know how they work though. I'm curious!

I love my shape ups. I have always hated tennis shoes. Ugh. I prefer sandles or crocs but i needed a pair. I actually got a really cute pair of purple/pink ones and they do not hurt my feet. My mom has horrible problems with shoes. Her feet hurt to put socks on them sometimes and the only shoes she has ever been able to wear for any length of time is shape ups! Had them a year and they feel great and they aren't worn out yet.

Are they STILL only 80 buck cuz if so you need to strut that future Jlo butt over there and pic up a pair for fav cuz! The price is all that is keeping me from getting them. I rarely look in the mirror at my face let alone my body...i caught a glimpse of my ass the other day and let. me. tell. you...it aint a pretty sight. If i could lift it about an inch wed be back in business.

I love my pair. I agree about the looks, but for comfy feet in my opinion it's all good.
