Share a Spoon - Bars and Cake

CAKES AND BARS!!!

This week has been a busy one, with all of the Friends You Love festivities beginning.  I talked The Boy into making this dessert, but totally forgot to take pics. They turned out yummy and The Boy has started to learn his way around the kitchen!!  So, here it is,

Peanut Butter Paisleys

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter - softened
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Directions
~Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x13 baking pan.
~In a large bowl, cream butter and peanut butter.
~Add granulated and brown sugars, mix well.
~Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
~Blend in vanilla.
~In a small bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix into peanut butter mixture, blending well.
~Spread half of the batter into prepared pan.
~Spoon syrup over top.
~Carefully cover with remaining batter.
~Swirl with metal spatula or knife for a marbled effect.
~Bake 35-40 minutes or until lightly browned.
~Cool completely in pan.

Mmm That sounds good! but today I'm gonna make me some Milkyway cake!
Yummy. It calls for 11 Milkyway bars.
I know OUT of this world..huh?
I will try peanut butter and chocolate later..I'll add it to the list! :)
