I completely understand the "no trick or treaters blues". That's been the story of my life up until this year when I moved into a super hopping Trick or Treat neighborhood. Hopefully, next year you'll get more little rugrats begging for candy :) Btw, these post it notes are addictive. I don't know why I haven't linked up before, but I'm so glad I did today! Thanks for hosting this :)
I think the days of yesteryear and Halloween are quickly diminishing. Neighborhoods like the one Irishman lives in just are hard to find any more. People dropped kids off by the van load (litterally) and nearly every other house was decked to the roofing tiles. Garages were turned into haunted mazes and porches were witches dens...it was very awesome. Those who weren't out roaming with the chillins were chillin in the driveways with fires going in the firepits. If Norman Rockwell had painted Halloween...it would've been that.... I wonder how many more years it will be that way.
Some scary person actually COUNTED DOWN the days remaining til Christmas. Can't imagine who would do such a thing...and then go and share with her friends...early in the morning...before coffee at that! *pppft*

I am not ready for November. We had 70 kids at our door. It was fun! Hope your children had a great time.
